and why does this matter and is this blog-worthy? Your other posts regarding global warming or lack thereof, albeit verbose are still worth commentary should one choose to engage. Your other posts providing the election information, candidate info and websites is good publice service and is fact based and informational. I don't udnerstand why we need to see your personal voting choices??...this is neither matter of debate, since its your personal choice and not to debate why you choose one over the other, nor is it information the public can use.

Thank you Curtis for the information. I have spent a lot of time wading through a number of sites on the web trying to figure out who's running for what. Some sites don't have the info up yet, which is bothersome because early voting starts next week. Your blog puts this info in an orderly manner so I can do my due diligence and select who I will get my vote.

@Bill, most people do not publicly state their view of their candidates for the fear of offending others. As you will note, there are a lot more candidates that I did not endorse and I am sure that I have disappointed some of them and their supporters to some extent. Many of them are my friends and this may test that friendship.
It would be a whole lot easier to keep my mouth shut and not tell anyone how I wil vote, but I feel it is important to make a stand that I could/should/will take heat for. Plus I was secretly hoping to get a rise out of you....

Curtis, if you to take the public stand then take the stand for all candidates, rather than cherry pick on those that you have no personal ties to. By publicly displaying your vote on some candidates, you get to thump your chest and tell us that you're taking a stand and willing to take the heat; yet you don't publicly choose candidates where you might actually get some heat for taking the stand. You want your cake and eat it to..

do not worry Curtis. I don't agree on all of your choices (but do on almost all). Can we be friends? I made a comment on Baumbach's deal about not being happy about how we pick our judges. After thinking about it, it is my frustration with many voters because they don't really know what motivates these candidates. It has to be tough because there are actually lawyers who are blind to what many of us see. Now, I'm wishing I would have been more vocal years ago. But, when dealing with judges, there are other reasons to consider my reluctance to pick our judges the way we do. They have cases and lawyers in their courts and they will be required to make decisions on those cases. then, we have an election and lawyers are asked to give money, votes, etc. What will most of them say? "No"? not usually. Look at it--"Mr. Lawyer: I've got an opponent in the upcoming election. Will you support me?" Many things begin to fly around in Lawyer's mind that he won't say out loud.."i've got cases pending in his court and clients who want results have given me money...What are his chances of winning? but, more importantly might be--what kind of person is this judge? If I say, no, will I pay for it? Then, I think about the candidate and think about his character, demeanor, etc. and wonder how he would react to my decision to support the other guy.. He might be one that would never be vindictive and would completely understand the pressure i was under when I agreed to support the incumbant. Maybe I will play both sides the best I can. And so, I don't think it has anything to do with thumping chests.
make any sense?
