Wrestling: Boyd Pins Dallas Jesuit

The McKinney Boyd Bronco wrestling team scored its second straight dual meet win Thursday night by defeating Dallas Jesuit 48-39 in varsity action.

The Broncos had pins from Mike Dauterive, Tyler Casey, Jarrett Hale, and Eric Johnson. The total mat time in the victories by Dauterive, Hale, and Johnson was 1 minute 46 seconds.

Boyd moved its varsity dual meet record to 2-0 and will be in action again Saturday at Bishop Lynch Prep School in Dallas.

The Junior Varsity won 7 of 11 matches and scored a decisive victory over the Rangers with a 40-16 win. Colton Mitchell won twice, defeating one opponent 13-1 and pinning the other in 2:51. Other team members that won their matches (all by fall!) were Robert Tucker, Nick Templeton, Garrett Binkley, Drew Taylor and Jonah Chen.

JV special recognition of the night:
*  "Efficiency Expert" award for the night goes to Drew Taylor, who pinned his opponent in a mere 0:13 seconds.
*  "Workhorse" award of the night goest to Colton Mitchell, who beat two opponents in a span of less than 30 minutes.
