Consumer Credit Services Help Families Navigate The Burden Of Debt

Just IMAGINE - 335 individuals or families who have been set free of debt. This is how many who have successfully completed a debt management plan through Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of North Central Texas in 2009.

This represents 335 families who can now collectively sigh in relief as they do not have the pressure of debt weighing them down. This is also 335 families who have benefited from counseling to help them know how to live debt free and to stay that way.

When an individual or family comes to our agency, they meet with one of our Counselors who has been certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). The Counselor will personally work with the client to review their financial information, to pinpoint areas for improvement and to develop a plan for their financial future.  Everyone's situation is different.  The CCCS Counselors are qualified to personalize a plan for each separate case.

In some special instances a client may be directed to counsel with one of the CCCS Housing Counselors before meeting with a Budget Counselor.  When a potential client calls, one of the questions asked is if they have missed a mortgage payment.  Our first objective is to protect the family's ability to stay in their home whenever possible.  CCCS is a HUD approved agency and the housing counseling is free to the client.  With a plan worked out to save the home, the client can then meet with a Budget Counselor to continue the process to become debt free.

CCCS of North Central Texas, Inc. is a locally based 501c3 non-profit Credit Counseling agency.  We have the track record of helping individuals and families since 1980.  Our services include the Budget and Housing counseling mentioned above and also the following:
