Lady Bulldogs Shut Out Little Elm
Adkins, Post Lead North To 7-0 Victory

LITTLE ELM - Pitcher Kristen Adkins and the McKinney North Lady Bulldogs defense recorded their 13th shutout of the season Friday night, beating Little Elm, 7-0.
Adkins struck out 12 hitters for the fourth time this season while allowing just two hits and one walk.
The win keeps the Lady Bulldogs tied with Frisco for the top spot in District 9-4A midway through league play.
North (19-3-1, 6-1) collected eight hits. Lindsey Post did much of the damage, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Leadoff hitter Kathy Shelton and Ashliegh McClean each had two hits and both scored three times. Amanda Parsonage had North’s other hit, while Kelsey Schendt contributed two RBIs.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the board in the third inning, scoring twice. They pushed the lead to 5-0 in the fifth inning and finished up the scoring in the seventh with two runs.
Norths’ defense continues to be solid. The Lady Bulldogs defense has played 25 consecutive error-free innings, going back five games.
The Lady Bulldogs begin the second round of district play Tuesday at The Colony.
