Lady Dawgs-Waxahachie Sites Set

No. 3-Ranked North Softball’s Regional Semifinal Starts Thursday At Home

McKinney North, ranked No. 3 in this week’s TGCA softball poll, will begin its Region II-4A semifinal at home Thursday.

The coaches have worked out the sites of the best-of-three series, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at North, continue at 7:30 p.m. Friday at No. 10-ranked Waxhachie, then finish Saturday, if necessary, at 1 p.m. at Coppell High School.

Of course, there is a Plan B, thanks to the unpredictable spring time weather in Texas. Wet stuff is predicted for part of this week. In case of a rainout Thursday, then Game 1 would be held at Waxahachie on Friday with Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) at North on Saturday.

North (26-7-2) advanced by rallying from a one-game deficit to defeat Mesquite Poteet last week.

Waxahachie (27-11) beat Red Oak in two out of three games last week.

The Texas Girls Coaches Association Poll currently has Aledo as No. 1 in 4A with Waco Midway No. 2.
